About Ginger Morrissey
Hi! I’m Ginger Morrissey. I live and work in Charlotte, NC. I have a passion for working with people that have had a similar experience to mine. I have worked with people with joint pain as an outpatient physical therapist since 1997. I am fellowship trained in manual orthopedics and am certified in Dry Needling. I was a manager at a large hospital based outpatient center where I left in order to open my own Private Practice as a Physical Therapist. I have since opened a second business named Resilient Health and Wellness where I can help people at a much higher level to get to the “Root Cause” of their joint pain. Keep reading to learn why.

I was personally active with not only working with my hands but I also stood on hard concrete floors all day. I also ran, worked out 6 days per week, played tennis, and played golf. I went hiking with my dog and enjoyed scuba diving, sky diving, and hang gliding. I have young grandchildren that I loved playing with.
I began having joint pain in multiple joints for no apparent reason. I became so fatigued that I was sleeping 13-15 hours per day and had to go on FMLA. I had spots all over my legs that were diagnosed as autoimmune disease called Granuloma Annulare. I was unable to workout, run, play tennis or do any of the other activities that I enjoyed doing. I struggled to play with my grandchildren. I saved all of my energy for work.
I saw doctor after doctor. I took medication after medication. I experienced many ugly side effects and nothing really helped. I was told I had RA and it was recommended that I go on disability and take even more powerful medications.
I wasn’t ready to stop working and didn’t want to give up my life as I knew it at such a young age. I sought out more natural approaches and became much better, but I still wasn’t healed to the level I wanted. I decided my next level of education would be to enroll in a Functional Medicine Course for Physical Therapists.
I implemented the strategies I was learning to my own health. I am currently pain free, rid of the chronic fatigue and my spots are fading. I am amazed at what I have learned and I feel it is my duty to share my knowledge with others who suffer from similar symptoms. Hence, Resilient Health and Wellness was born.
I am excited and am looking forward to walking you through important lifestyle changes to help you improve your health. I don’t work with everyone. I work with those who are committed and ready to make changes. If you commit, I am 100% committed to you.
